extendedPDF PostScript Printer Setup

Congratulations! The first stage of the printer installation is complete. You are now ready for the second stage.

The "Add Printer Wizard" has been automatically started by Setup. Please find the wizard and follow these steps.

Note: These screenshots were created on Windows 2000 Professional. Depending on your version of Windows, the appearance and order of the screens may vary.

Welcome to the Add Printer Wizard

• Click Next

Local or Network Printer

• Select Local Printer. Make sure that Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer is NOT selected.
• Click Next

Select the Printer Port

• Select Use the following port and select the FILE: entry at the end of the list.
• Click Next

Add Printer Wizard

• Click Have Disk...

Install From Disk

• Click Browse...

Locate File

• Find the folder where you installed the extendedPDF PostScript Printer Driver.
• By default this is in My Computer\C:\Program Files\JDiSoftware\extendedPDF PS Printer\driver.
• Click Open

Install From Disk

• Click OK

Add Printer Wizard

• Click Next

Use Existing Driver (only shown on upgrade or reinstallation)

• If you are asked Do you want to keep the existing driver or use the new one? select Replace existing driver.
• Click Next

Name Your Printer

• You can name the printer anything you like. We recommend leaving the name as the default.
• If you already have a printer, you will be asked Do you want your Windows-based programs to use this printer as the default printer? Select No.
• Click Next

Printer Sharing

• Select Do not share this printer.
• Click Next

Print Test Page

• Select No.
• Click Next

Completing the Add Printer Wizard

• Click Finish

Digital Signature Not Found

• Click Yes

Your printer installation should now be complete. If you received an error message at any stage of the installation please contact support@jdisoftware.co.uk with details of the error and information about your system.
